What. A. SUPERCHARGED. Experience! With years of memories catalogued together, and after holding space with both @pher01 and his artwork, I’m finally fully beginning to understand... these are FAR more than paintings. Pharaoh One is delivering powerful introspective and spiritual experiences via paint on canvas. I am not an overtly spiritual person, but being in the presence of both the man and his art has me feeling closer to some sort of higher power than ever.

From the first time I formally met him as the Art Director of @420ontheblockin 2017, I could feel there was something special and otherworldly about him. He was a last minute addition to the live painting team, highly recommended by a friend. He rolled up with multiple pieces in tow, along with a handful of these strange 3D glasses I came to know as Chromadepth, and a blacklight. He proceeded to absolutely blow my mind! Watching him live paint is an immersive experience, and for this studio piece, I was blessed with the opportunity to enter his private space. Each time I left, I was feeling tapped in, as if I just received some universal information. The message of this painting to me, is the ultimate power of love, and how it allows our souls to take flight and to ascend above whatever challenges we face in our lives.

There is SO MUCH to say about this piece of heART that words will never do justice. There are the features that you perceive with your eyes, and then there’s the energy emanating that you can truly only feel in person. Until you get that opportunity in the flesh, here is what I’ve picked out visually:
•At least 15 birds in the main piece, 6 in the top
•4 cats on the prowl
•1 mediating figure in each canvas; the Tron-like mask of the figure in the bottom forms the beak of the owl
•An excellent mixture of UV reactive effects that both creates depth, pulling you into another dimension, with some harder lines in black and UV paints to form rigid structures. For the FULL experience in person, I encourage play with lighting and Chromadepth!

I hope you’re feeling all the LOVE that went into this... what can you spot in this alchemical art that resonates with you?!
