Aaron Tisk | SOLD

Talk about a monumental painting! “Stand Alone Complex” is a stand out from a dear friend who helped me understand the beauty and power of paintings. Aaron Tisk @aaron_tisk and I have have been acquainted for nearly a decade, and I’ve had the pleasure of watching him explore and evolve with sacred geometry, shapes, and a variety of other subjects. It’s an absolute honor to present this game changing work.

I try to find a balance between professional and personal with @mad.house_art and my commitment to bringing these creations to a larger audience is absolute. Tisk has been working on this large and impressive depiction over the course of 2020. With our release date looming, and a fervent work ethic, he realized we would not have time to ship the piece to me in CO from his home in Las Vegas. I flew out the day after Thanksgiving, and drove it back through the night. This piece had to be shared, and we stuck by our commitment to doing so. What an adventure!

Tisk started the year with a powerful experience, with intentions set to discover something new to paint. His Deep Mental Trek threw him into this space. I am always amazed by how these artists can render images from other realms. This realm has been visited by many, a place that has been translated by many unrelated artists that come to this same composition of these endless hallways with repeating pillars. “Net of Being” by @alexgreycosm is an iconic image that comes from the same space and experience, but while Alex thinks in anatomy, Tisk thinks in shapes and geometry and lines. The philosophy of Standalone Complex from the movie/show “Ghost in a Shell” is exactly this, a phenomenon where unrelated individuals act in a similar manner which creates an appearance of a concerted effort. This wonderful work was aptly named such.

Studying Tisk’s previous work, he has almost exclusively painted top-down views and “flatter” images of these geometries, but with this project, he dove into all 3 dimensions. I am so excited to see more creations from Tisk in this thread of deep dimensions!!!
