“Form Fitter”
Aaron Tisk
2020, 18” x 24” Acrylic & Aerosol on Canvas
Beholding this banger on a daily basis incites a sense of structure and regality within me. I was extremely pleased to bring Form Fitter home into my personal collection earlier this year, as it marks a turning point in Aaron’s creative career. It is the first large piece he produced after a hiatus from full time art to help rebuild Houston from Hurricane Harvey. Before this break, he was exploring new styles and techniques outside of the tightly structured sacred geometry work he was known for. This painting serves as a building block for a new era of his art, combining the rigid and clean line work with new textures and 3-dimensional shapes emerging out from these traditionally flat grids.

Previously known as Tisk Oner, Aaron is the first painter I began collecting in 2013. We were both active collectors in the functional glass art community, and working for @mercglass I would frequent Las Vegas for trade shows where Aaron still resides. After connecting personally on many frequencies, I expressed my interest in buying my first ever original painting. Soon after that, I had an extremely powerful experience; my soul traveled through a portal referred to by Terence McKenna as the Chrysanthemum. As I returned to this reality filled to the brim with LOVE, Tisk sent me a progress shot that closely resembled that portal. I was just INSIDE of this painting. I had to secure this relic from the other side, as a reminder of one of the most positive transformational experiences of my life.
